Membership Benefits of The NJBFAA

What are the benefits for joining the NJBFAA? That’s a question that is frequently asked. Luckily, the answers come easily and the list is long!

Membership in NJBFAA automatically means you’re a member of the nationally recognized National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association. NBFAA is our “mother” organization and that organization provides additional “real dollar” benefits.

NJBFAA membership increases your exposure to consumers, gives you credibility in the profession, and enhances your professional image.

NJBFAA membership provides substantial discounts on our many training opportunities. Requirements for CEU and training in order to obtain or maintain a license are not going to go away. Various training classes are held throughout the state, providing valuable credits and professional skills and training for installers and owners. Simply attending a few training classes will pay for your investment in the NJBFAA.

Members also receive significant discounts to our hugely successful Annual Symposium. This is a “do not miss” event! Members receive information in a timely manner so you may plan for yourself and your employees to attend this event. This has been applauded by our members and on a national basis as one of the best annual industry events.

NJBFAA regularly meets near your home and office. Members (only) enjoy access to our Regional Membership Meetings, held in the North, Central and Southern regions of the State. Prior to each meeting, CEU opportunities are always available. Guest speakers and up-to-date information on what’s happening in the alarm industry locally and nationally are the primary topics on our agenda. You can also get the latest information on licensing and legislative issues that affects your business. Our members really enjoy the social networking with their colleagues.

Advocacy is one of the most important aspects of NJBFAA membership. Obviously, the more members we have the more power we will have as a voice in Trenton. Our Executive Director Beverly Lynch is a registered lobbyist with years of experience working the halls of the Statehouse. We don’t just track and monitor legislation, we are proactively seeking new legislation that will improve your business.

Since licensing has been enacted there have been many issues that have been addressed and stopped prior to impacting our business. This is a constant work in progress as items pop up on a daily basis. Rest assured, the NJBFAA is working hard for you!
